Web 1.0 vs. Web 2.0

Burger king's website, is not interactive. You can receive information about the menu and other events going on with the company, but you cannot make a profile or send messages to any other users except those who have predominant control over the website. www.bk.com

"Enter the Ninja.com" is a 1.0 because it is not a social networking website, this is shown because it is not possible to communicate with other people on the website, it has AJAX / XML, it has a cartoonish avatar at the top left corner of the page. You cannot not upload photos are customize anything on the site, personally. www.entertheninja.com
"Tagged.com" is a 2.0 website because it has Cloud Computing, you can store information and pictures on it online, instead of storing them in your hard drive. The site also allows you to customize your own profile and make it personally yours, and also letting you send messages to friends and family. www.tagged.com

1. Come up with 3 similarities and 3 differences between traditional and new media?
Similarities:
They both communicate information to the user.
Involve a persons senses.
Television.
Differences:
New media may be high definition or blue ray while traditional cannot.
New media can be accessed anywhere at any anytime with any device that has access to the internet.
2. List 4 examples of traditional media and 4 examples of “New Media.”
New media:
Bluetooth, cellular phones, Texting, Video games systems.
Traditional:
Pagers, Flyers, Newspapers, Billboards
3. Why is the term “New Media” problematic?
New Media is a problematic term because technology is evolving so quickly everyday, so what's new today may be considered old tomorrow.
